Galutia York, a private in Company G, 114th New York State Volunteer Infantry, enlisted at Hamilton, N.Y. in August of 1862. He was stationed at Camp Belger, near Baltimore, at Fortress Monroe, Virginia, and in Louisiana with the XIX Corps. He died of disease at Berwick City, Louisiana, on May 20, 1863.
